It's always fun to reinvent something you knew and loved from your childhood. The strategy with the new Baby Alive was to bring the real experience of caring for a baby to young kids. This was accomplished through creating brand design elements that mirrored packaging and product design of baby goods. The result was a successful relaunch of the brand, 25M in sales in year one with growth to 180M in year two driven by brand extension in other dolls and accessories.
